Review by hotel critic
Arcadeon offers a mix of luxury and value that must be carefully weighed by discerning guests. Staying in the Annex, the room exuded a comfortable yet homely ambiance with tasteful minimalistic design and wood floors. However, the tiny bathrooms were a drawback. The wide, comfortable bed and the high-quality breakfast were highlights. Contrary to the website, WiFi is available throughout the hotel, enhancing convenience.Pricing, though on par with the main hotel at €104 per night, felt steep for the Annex's offerings. Walking to the main building for breakfast proved inconvenient, especially in inclement weather. While the location and aesthetics were pleasing, limited cheese varieties and no open buffet for dinner left room for improvement. On the upside, the hotel boasts free parking and a lovely garden for outdoor activities, complemented by a BBQ facility. However, additional amenities like dry cleaning or a fitness center could enhance the overall value proposition. For those seeking a balance between cost and comfort, a more competitive price point would make a return stay more enticing.
